I LOVE the commitment to the dad joke. Doing just the title would be a chuckle, but doing the whole damn thing makes it hilarious. Don’t stop doin’ you! This is why we come here – it can’t all be serious all the time!
Nope.
Echoing everyone else please repost this, joke was funny but its impossible to read on a computer!
Manually type
javascript:
and then copy
document.body.setAttribute( “style”, “-webkit-transform: rotate(-180deg);”);
into the address bar and press enter.
Still tough to read, though.
Sure, take the easy way out.
Such a bummer to go through all that work for no one to read it.
NOPE
Sorry I forgot to tell you about the flannel shirt/Bogan thing mate. Go snag yourself a pair of UG boots to complete the total Parramatta fashion thing. Go to a cricket match (pay only for the cheap unseated area), get drunker than an alcoholic pirate, offend at least 4 people and get into a good drunken brawl, and finally, end the arvo with a projectile vomit of whatever crap food you bought at the cricket and washed down with copious amounts of beer. Do all that and I may even make you an honorary Aussie Bogan. Remember, cricked food never leaves the stadium. If you can’t expel it all (preferably all over somebody) before leaving, you lose the Bogan challenge.
Guys, I’m not reading this. I love you, but kiss my ass, for the record.
Recorded.
That’s really what you want recorded? “Kiss my ass”? I feel like this was a wasted opportunity
I’m having a stroke
Could we be so lucky
Inasmuch as my perspective on life is frequently askew, I have no problem with the text thing.
On a side note: There appears to be an infestation of crankypants at Autopian today.
Finally, my old-school graphic artist superpowers come in handy! I got so used to reading litho film backwards and/or upside-down that I was able to read this and only get a minor headache from it.
It actually didn’t hurt me a bit, just slowed me down somewhat. It was kinda neat to feel my optic nerve/brain interface adapting!
I’ve seen teachers who can write full-speed upside down on overhead projectors. Just boggles my mind.
So Australian David Tracy is a tail light enthusiast. Interesting. Admittedly, they were Jeep tail lights, but for the sake of science, I propose sending Torch to this magical land next and observing the results.

Ditto with all other comments. Too far. Skipping until repost.
FFS fix this.
I’m seriously amazed that the tool bag’s contents made it through!
Especially the pressurized can of flammable liquid.
It’s easy to read on an iPhone. Just turn on the screen rotation lock and flip the phone upside down. Easy peasy.
For the love of God, Please write the rest of the articles normally (or at least as normal as David can be). The joke was funny in the beginning, but over the span of a whole article was just too much. I want the only headache I get from a DT article to be from me constantly facepalming (as it should be) instead of straining to read something upside down and backwards.
Try more fiber in your diet. It will reduce the straining.
I’m ok with the upside down writing, EXCEPT for the fact that the kerning and leading of the text is all buggered up.
Fix that and you can keep the upside down.
Yeah, just the upside-down aspect of it–sure, whatever–but the ambiguous direction of the text and the nigh unreadable font is a big nope. I’d like to read the article, but I’m not giving myself a headache to do it.
I spent a week in Perth once. It happens to be the same latitude south that San Diego is north and the weather is similar. I felt that if it weren’t for everyone talking funny and driving on the left I wouldn’t have noticed much of a difference.
One thing I did notice was the numerous hot cars. The Aussies have a very healthy hot rod culture and take great pride in showing off all their hopped-up Holdens and Fords. It’s a great place to visit if you’re a motorhead. Well, it’s really a great place to visit for just about anyone.
That said, I never really felt all that inverted. I also didn’t bother checking to see which way the toilet swirled.
I truly love that you guys took the joke this far, and if you ever repost it I might even read the article.
Thanks JT, you’re the best! I’ve been looking forward to reading about this glorious insanity.

I get it. David is on the other side of the world, so everything is upside down. It might have been clever the first time he did it, but is just a pain now. I would like to read David’s article, but am not going to go to the trouble of inverting text.
Ha, I love that you guys went all in on this.
Guys, this joke was funny once, for a single paragraph.
Can you please re-post regular text? I’m not copy-pasting every paragraph into the linked text inverter. I’d rather just sit this out, which is saying a lot for Tracy shenanigans.
Yeah, this is hurting my head. I don’t really want to invert my laptop.
Just turn yout laptop upside down.
Opened my laptop 180 degrees and tried to read it that way, but I still couldn’t get through 1 sentence with the formatting.
((Pulls up DT’s latest post))
That’s it! No more DAY drinking for me!!! 😉
