I’m a Velour/Vinyl/Corinthian level member, when should I expect my stuff?
We order items in batches so it can take a month to get your member items, though we aim to be faster than that. If you have any issues please email: shipping@theautopian.com

What happens if I cancel/renew within the subscription period?
Hopefully, you don’t! If you are a monthly member and you cancel before one year you may not get your merchandise since it costs us money to create. Similarly, if you cancel and renew every month we won’t send you 12 shirts as we count you as one member. You’ll still get one shirt.

Why can’t I log in to your site?
Check your browser’s security settings. Our membership software won’t work if you’ve disabled third-party cookies. Either change your settings or use another browser. If you have any other issues please email matt@theautopian.com

Why is a monthly plan more expensive?
We have to pay a fee every time there’s a transaction, so the difference helps cover this cost. If you get an annual plan we only have to pay once and we pass the savings onto you!

Can I turn off auto-renew for my annual membership?

Can I switch from a monthly plan to an annual plan?
Yes. Click Change plan from the Subscriptions menu item in your account and you can switch

How do I cancel my monthly membership?
Log in to your account and toggle auto-renew off from the Subscriptions menu item.

Can I cancel an annual plan?
You can turn off auto-renew but we don’t currently allow a cancellation, so if you’re mad at Jason for saying something about the 1967 DAF Daffodil’s taillights you disagree with you’re gonna have to bring it up with him.

Can I update my email address or other personal information?
Yes. Log in to your account to make these changes.

Can I update my credit card?
Yes. Log in to your account, add the new card and click Update my credit card.

How do I reset my password?
Passwords are not required for your membership account. Instead, visit our sign in form, enter your email address and click Send sign in link. We’ll send you an email with a link that you can click to sign in. The link can only be used once and expires after 24 hours.

Can I gift a membership to The Autopian?
Yes. It’s easy to gift an (annual) membership. Click the corresponding link:

You will be prompted to enter the gift recipient’s name and email address, the delivery date, a personalized message, and your payment information. The gift recipient will receive an email with a link to activate their gift. If a physical address is required, the gift recipient will have the opportunity to enter it when they activate the gift.

Keep in mind that you’re purchasing a one-time gift for the selected term (e.g. a year). The gift recipient will be responsible for adding a payment method before the next renewal period if they’d like to continue with the membership.

How can I add a profile picture to my account?
The avatar service we use is called Gravatar.

Specific Membership Related Terms of Service
The site’s Terms & Conditions are here and the Privacy Policy is here. Membership grants you access to read special sections of the site but it doesn’t grant you the ability to harass, harangue, bother, crank-off at, or otherwise disrupt our commenting community. Your commenting account can be removed at any time for spamming, slurring, or for any other reason without warning. No refunds. No explanation promised. Just be cool and we should be fine. If you cancel a monthly subscription before a six-month trial period you are not guaranteed any merchandise and it is assumed you have paid for supporting the site and accessing special material. Annual accounts also will not be refunded for any reason.

What if I’m not a paying member? Can you reach out to me?

Yes. If you’re a non-paying member we may reach out to you from time-to-time with offers to become a member. You also will be invited to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any alerts if you wish.
